Imagine my shock....

Scott Walker set to make political trip to Israel in spring

Presidential candidate Cruz: 'Imagine a president who stands unapologetically with Israel'
I would like to imagine a president who stands unapologetically for the United States and puts the United States 1st, 2nd, and 3rd - one who actually cares about American more than some shitty little illegal nation in the middle east!
“An exciting time for Amazon:” More than 1,000 full-time positions available at Kenosha fulfillment center

KENOSHA (WITI) — Amazon is now hiring for more than 1,000 full-time positions for its more than one million square foot fulfillment center under construction in Kenosha.
At the facility, Amazon employees will pick, pack and ship small items to customers like books, electronics or consumer goods. Associates will work alongside innovative technologies, including Amazon robotics that will be used on a daily basis to fulfill customer orders.
“This is an exciting time for Wisconsin, the Kenosha area, and Amazon. These jobs are invaluable to the Kenosha community and part of the foundation on which our state will grow and prosper for years to come.  Amazon is a great asset to Wisconsin and I’m thrilled that so many good, family supporting jobs are now available for our dedicated workforce,” Governor Scott Walker said....

Sooo, just what does Comrade Scott Walker consider a "family supporting job"?

Good-paying jobs

Bosman said the development would create at least 1,100 full-time jobs.

“These are good-paying jobs, a lot of good-paying jobs,” Bosman said. “It’s not just a big, empty box. This is a very high quality company, a very high quality developer, and I’m very pleased to welcome them both to Kenosha. It’s a very big deal.”

According to Amazon job postings, jobs in their warehouses — called fulfillment centers — pay starting salaries of about $11.25 an hour, or $23,000 a year, along with benefits.

Bosman said the average wage at the facility will be “north of $13 an hour.” He said about 850 of the positions will be warehouse jobs, with other jobs including technicians, computer technicians and managment.

He said the development also includes the possibility of future expansion....

So, according to Walker $11.25 an hour is a good paying "family supporting job" or the Mayor of Kenosha saying that the average wage will be "north of $13.00 an hour" including the skilled workers and management to arrive at this "average".

Lets say after a year the guy starting at $11.25 an hour is making $13.00 an hour.  $13.00 an your works out to $520.00 a week gross pay - or around $375.00 per week take home pay.

So according to Scott Walker, the infamous communist union busting "right to worker",   $1500.00 a month is a "family supporting" wage!

The average two bedroom apartment in Kenosha rents for $778.00 per month.

Lets take this "family supporting" pay and deduct the rent and we have a whopping $722.00 per month or $180.00 a week for a family to use to pay utilities, food, clothing, automobile, insurance, gas, medical co-pays, etc...

This is the life that Comrade Walker expects you to live and the unthinking masses support this communist bastard!

More Than 300 Republicans Call on Supreme Court to Recognize Gay Marriage Nationally

More than 300 veteran Republican lawmakers, operatives and consultants have filed a friend of the court brief at the Supreme Court in support of same-sex marriage late Thursday.
The amicus brief, organized by former Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, was filed for the four same-sex marriage cases the Court will hear on April 28 that could legalize the unions nationwide. In 2013, Mehlman marshaled a similar effort for the case that overturned California’s Proposition 8, which had banned same-sex marriage in the state.

Among the signatories are 23 current and former Republicans members of the House of Representatives and Senate and seven current and former Governors. Sens. Susan Collins and Mark Kirk have signed onto the brief, as has Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman. Other notables include former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, retired Gen. Stanley McChrystal and billionaire GOP mega-donor David Koch.

The 2013 brief included 131 signatures, featured many former top aides to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, including his general counsel and two senior advisors. The list has now grown to 303 signatories...

Just in case there are readers of this blog who still believe that the Republican Party is somehow conservative or "Christian".

Republicans Eagerly Await Netanyahu, Question Obama Israel Loyalty- Senator

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Republican lawmakers are ready to welcome Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak before US Congress on Tuesday, but question whether US President Barack Obama’s truly supports Tel Aviv, US Senator John Barrasso said in a statement on Monday...

Senator Barrasso. President Obama's job is to support the people of the United States, not a foreign government. For that matter, so is yours. But if you really feel that your mission in life is to support Tel Aviv I invite you and all the other Israel-firsters in Congress to immediately board a plane and MOVE THERE PERMANENTLY!
No government can serve two masters, and a government that serves Israel cannot and will not serve the American people. A friend of Israel is no friend of America. In these dark times America needs leaders who will put America first, second, and third!
