A judge handed her the sentence after she was caught daubing swastikas on posters even though she had no idea what the SS was.

She was told to read the book, which details a Jewish girl’s life in hiding during the Second World War, and write an essay on the Nazis, rather than serve a jail term.
A spokesman for the court in Kassel, Germany, said: “Our aim is to make her think. Hopefully, she will learn.”
