"I am the wheat of Christ: may I be ground by the fangs of wild beasts and become bread agreeable to my Lord!"

A wonderful feast, the first great St. Ignatius!

108 years ago today, my Dad was born, weighing only 3 pounds, some thought he wouldn't live, but the old midwife said, "He'll make it, he's got a good, strong cry." He did. for 82 years - lucky for us, too!

21 years ago today, our Mother quietly passed into eternity, with my sister Therese and I at her side, praying the Rosary. That heart which had so spent itself in love finally stopped beating, right on Dad's birthday, but one thing I know, we were not alone in that room...

If one's good deeds do follow after, then both are surely in peace. I thank God with all my heart for this, my heritage, these good, strong, wise, loving and faithful Catholic parents; it is the greatest asset a child can have.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen

Dear fellow sinner, oh, yes, always, each day, at Mass, in my Rosaries, Novenas, Holy Hours, daily prayers.

So many, many good, devout Catholic family, relatives, fellow parishioners and benefactors to remember, but always our parents, loved ones, and as a Franciscan, foremost, our Shepherds, Brothers and Sisters in the Order, living and deceased.

God bless you.
