They blame it on the release of David Irving from jail, but it's really because people are looking into the issue and discovering that the Zionist Jews lied to us. Since Irving is a Zionist agent, let's hope they put back in jail

The Church has ever proved indestructible. Her persecutors have failed to destory her; in fact, it was during times of persecution that the Church grew more and more; while the persecutors themselves, and those whom the Church would destory, are the very ones who came to nothing…. Again, errors have assailed her; but in fact, the greater the number of errors that have arisen, the more has the truth been made manifest…. Nor has the Church failed before the assaults of demons: for she is like a tower of refuge to all who fight against the Devil.

CHRISTMAS CHOREOGRAPHY
Dancers enliven liturgy
BY PAT PASTERNAK STAFF WRITER

As part of the annual Family Christmas Eve liturgy at St. Mary's Church in Oneonta, liturgical dancers will dance to a Nativity carol.
The feature has been a part of the Mass for 12 years, said Michelle Gardner, coordinator for liturgical dance at the Otsego County parish. She has taught dancing for more than 25 years at area colleges and high schools.
"I have been dancing all of my life," she said. "Being asked to coordinate liturgical dance was the first time I'd ever been invited to share the gift of dance as a prayer."
Liturgical dance is a simple, uncomplicated form of movement, Mrs. Gardner said, with actions that are a form of prayer.
"The dance is meant to draw the worship community into the prayer," she explained, "not to merely observe what the dancers are doing. The dancers are trained in certain movements that serve to invite the entire community into praise and worship."
"The feedback was, 'This is a great way to pray.' The community was very excited about it," she said.
Mrs. Gardner discovered how important the dance had become to the parish when she considered canceling it one year.
"As our original dancers graduated from high school and left the area for college, membership was down," she recalled. "I mentioned that we might discontinue the dancing. No one wanted us to end it."
Several former dancers who had returned from college for the holidays offered to rejoin the group, and some younger students volunteered to learn from the older ones.
"Now, each year, college students who were liturgical dancers in high school and who are home for the holidays participate in the Christmas Eve Mass," she said. "They've danced at Confirmations and monthly youth ministry Masses as well as other church functions, but the Christmas Eve Mass has become a tradition at St. Mary's."
(The Family Christmas Eve celebration at St. Mary's begins at 6 p.m. All are invited.)

Excuse me but where I come from the only actions that are a form of prayer are the sign of the cross, genuflection before the Tabernacle, and a profound bow at the Consecration . This is absolute insanity!! BTW - this is the diocese of Albany.

Catholic Online (www.catholic.org)
Following our first interview with Governor Mike Huckabee there was an intimation of anti-catholicism by several pundits and commentators. We asked the Governor directly about this and about another issue of importance to our Catholic Online readers and viewers.
Republican Presidential hopeful, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, left, greets supporters after speaking at a rally at the Pizza Ranch in Pella, Iowa, Friday, Dec. 28, 2007.
LOS ANGELES (Catholic Online) - We set forth below the questions asked by Catholic Online and the candidates responses.
DEACON KEITH FOURNIER: “Governor Huckabee, on December 18, 2007 Catholic Online issued a challenge to all of the candidates running for the President in 2008, in both major political parties, asking each of them to answer a series of questions of particular concern to Catholics. We promised that their response, or lack of response, would be made known to all of our readers and viewers. Governor, you were gracious enough to give us an exclusive interview. In that interview you answered each of our questions, thoroughly, thoughtfully and forthrightly. Just days from now, the first real contest of the Presidential Primary season, the important Iowa caucus, will be underway. In a Primary schedule that has become compacted by changes in dates, Iowa results loom quite large. And, the 2008 election contest which was once considered a “lock”, has become a real “horse race”, voters are truly paying attention. Your interview with Catholic Online is one the highest read stories in our history. However, shortly after its publication, you spoke at a Church in Texas, on a Sunday morning. Of course, there is nothing unusual about that. What caught the attention of many of our readers and viewers was a concern that the Pastor of the Church has written some material that insults the Catholic Church and has been labeled by some as anti-Catholic. Our readers understand that you, like all of the candidates, are running for the Presidency. In other words, we know that you seek to govern the whole Nation and, of course, you must reach out to all Americans. However, there has, unfortunately, been a history of anti-Catholicism in this Nation that we all love. Your campaign quickly noted the presence of Catholics in many of the top positions of your campaign staff. However, the issue and the concern raised by your visit, has not gone away. Would you comment upon your visit and on your views concerning Catholics in America?
GOVERNOR HUCKABEE: “I am invited to speak at thousands of diverse venues each year. My willingness to address a group says nothing about whether or not I agree with every tenet, policy or belief espoused by a group. To be honest, I have never thought about having “a view” about Catholics in America. Rather, I have enjoyed strong, personal relationships with many Catholics over the years and I would hate to think about my life without those relationships having been there. For more than a decade, I marched side-by-side with Catholic Bishops in Arkansas’ annual March for Life. Throughout my years as Lieutenant Governor and Governor, I enjoyed a very close relationship with leaders and members of the Catholic Church in Arkansas. My pro-life record is largely the result of this close working relationship. My relationships with Catholics predated my entry into politics. When I was pastoring a Baptist church in Texarkana, I had the opportunity to work closely with the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word at the St. Michael Hospital near my church. I was always welcomed warmly by the sisters when I visited the sick. As a pastor, I held joint services with my neighboring Catholic congregation, was invited to speak in Catholic churches for special services, and had regular breakfast meetings with the Bishop of the Arkansas Diocese, Bishop Peter Sartain, now in Illinois. Those early years of ministry showed me the value of working with caring people whether or not every one of our religious tenets line up exactly. In short, if I held any animosity toward Catholics, I don't think Justice Scalia would have ever taken me up on my invitations to go duck hunting. As I mentioned before, many of my top-level staff and closest advisors are Catholic, including my national campaign manager, national campaign director, my policy advisor and my campaign’s chief operating officer.
DEACON FOURNIER: Governor, you have expressed your long term position on what most Catholics consider the fundamental human rights issue of our age, the dignity of every human life from conception to natural death, in these words: “I support and have always supported passage of a constitutional amendment to protect the right to life. As President, I will fight for passage of this amendment. My convictions regarding the sanctity of life have always been clear and consistent, without equivocation or wavering.” Does your position in opposition to abortion admit of any exceptions?
GOVERNOR HUCKABEE: “First, let me say I have appreciated that Catholics led in the pro-life issue and were firm on this even before the Baptists. Before the Baptists really started taking a strong position on the sanctity of life, I was a part of an organization called "Southern Baptists for Life" which was launched to move our denomination to a more consistent pro-life position. In regard to exceptions, experience has shown that health of the mother exceptions are so broad that they result in ‘carte blanche’ abortion on demand. Consequently, I do not support an exception in those terms. Abortion proponents point to exceptions and worst-case scenarios as a way to defend abortion on demand.
DEACON FOURNIER: "Thank you for taking the time out of a busy schedule to speak with us once again. Blessed Christmas to you and your family and Happy New Year"
Iraq's Kurd villagers see no hope after air strikes

Since Turkish warplanes turned her village home into a heap of rubble last week, mother of eight Aziya Rasheed says she has lost all hope for the future.

Air strikes on mountain villages around the town of Sankasar in northern Iraq on Dec. 16 destroyed much of Rasheed's modest home as the family slept, injuring her 16-year-old daughter so severely that she had to have her leg amputated above the knee.

"We lost everything, even my daughter's leg. Isn't this terrorism from Turkey?" she said angrily.

Fresno bishop names priest accused of sexual misconduct as high school rector

A priest of the Diocese of Fresno found by a superior court jury to have more likely than not sexually molested a young man more than 20 years ago has been named rector of a diocesan Catholic high school.

In December 2006, a superior court jury empanelled in a civil lawsuit against the Fresno diocese voted 9-3 that Fr. Eric Swearingen had molested former altar boy Juan Rocha when Rocha was between 12 and 15 years old.

The December 2007 edition of Central California Catholic Life, Fresno’s diocesan newspaper, reports that Fr. Swearingen has now been named by Bishop John Steinbock as rector of San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno, effective Jan. 1...

Epistle: Galatians 4:1-7
As long as the heir is a child, he differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all,4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed by the father.4:3So we also, when we were children, were serving under the elements of the world.4:4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law:4:5That he might redeem them who were under the law: that we might receive the adoption of sons.4:6
And because you are sons, God hath sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying: Abba, Father.4:7Therefore, now he is not a servant, but a son. And if a son, an heir also through God.

Gospel: Luke 2: 33-40
And his father and mother were wondering at those things which were spoken concerning him. 2:34And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother: Behold this child is set for the fall and for the resurrection of many in Israel and for a sign which shall be contradicted.2:35 And thy own soul a sword shall pierce, that, out of many hearts thoughts may be revealed. 2:36And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser. She was far advanced in years and had lived with her husband seven years from her virginity. 2:37And she was a widow until fourscore and four years: who departed not from the temple, by fastings and prayers serving night and day.2:38Now she, at the same hour, coming in, confessed to the Lord: and spoke of him to all that looked for the redemption of Israel.2:39And after they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their city Nazareth.2:40And the child grew and waxed strong, full of wisdom: and the grace of God was in him.

The Sunday
Sermon

Dear Friends,
Behold, this child is set for the fall and the resurrection of many in Israel. (Luke 2: 34)
Christ is set for the fall of many. Christ who came to redeem us and save us from our sins and the consequences of our sins, and Who has shown us such love and mercy, will be the stumbling block that will cause many men hardened in wickedness to fall into the depths of Hell. In the case of impenitent, hardened sinners, things that should be instrumental in bringing them to salvation, as the word of God, divine grace, the sacraments, only serve to make them sink deeper into vice.
Such an obdurate sinner will fall because they have neglected or abused the goodness of God. The obdurate sinner strives to silence his conscience. Those who are not hardened in vice, become filled with disquietude, fear, and sadness when they have the misfortune of falling into sin. The obdurate man who has silenced his conscience does not appear to be fazed in the least by what he has done or what lies ahead of him. Such a person resembles one who is dangerously ill, whose excruciating pains have ceased, and who tranquilly and with a dying voice says: "Now all is well, I feel no more pain." Truly the body feels no more pain, because it is already benumbed with the coldness of death. The sinner who still feels remorse of conscience is truly fortunate.
God's grace is inefficacious for the obdurate sinner. God contends with the sinner and wishes to overcome him. But, heedlessly the sinner holds out against God and will not allow himself to be conquered. The omnipotent God is defeated, and the impotent sinner, to his own destruction, comes forth victorious over the mercy of God. Mercy is then withdrawn, and the obdurate sinner is left to be dealt with by divine justice.
God seeks to save the sinner not only by interior graces, but also by exterior means of salvation. The means which He makes use of for the conversion of the sinner are of two kinds: ordinary ones, such as admonitions, salutary exhortations on the part of the pastors of souls and confessors, of parents and well-meaning friends, the good example of others, especially of superiors, general and particular prayers of the faithful, holy seasons and feasts; the extraordinary are such as missions, jubilees, wars, and great calamities. Sinners who are not yet obdurate and hardened avail themselves of these opportunities of grace. They return from their evil ways and change their life. But the obdurate sinner continues on just as before, deaf to all the obvious pleadings and admonitions of God.
The causes of such obduracy are: unbelief, the habit of sinning, and the presumption of the sinner. Those who do not believe in God, Heaven, or Hell obviously have no concern for renouncing sin. But, generally speaking, it is the habit of sinning that comes before unbelief. The habitual sinner wishes to remove the stings of his conscience by professing unbelief. Unbelief is not the cause of the obdurate sinner, but is the effect of the obdurate sinner's struggle against the effects of God's grace.
The habit of sin is a terrible evil. The first time a sinner falls, he feels some repugnance interiorly, some resistance, his conscience is aroused and he does not readily yield to passion and sin. The second and subsequent times he sins with greater facility; sin appears to him by no means so execrable as it did the first time; and the oftener he sins the less he cares about it, until at last sin loses in his eyes its baseness, and he commits it as eaily as if it were a matter of no moment. Thus the habitual sinner violates chastity; that he gets drunk, curses, blasphemes, cheats, slanders, and detracts his neighbor most unjustly, without feeling the least remorse of conscience, or reflecting that if he does not amend his life he will be lost forever. St. Bernard says: "The oft-repeated sin produces a habit, and the habit a necessity, and the necessity the impossibility to renounce it; and the impossibility leads to despair, and despair to eternal damnation." If we desire not to be lost eternally we must resist in the beginning, avoid the first sin, and fear nothing so much as to become a habitual sinner.

The habitual sinner is likewise inclined to presumption. He continues to live in sin and nonetheless still hopes that God will be merciful to him. This hope is presumption and leads to damnation not to salvation.
These are the signs and causes of the obduracy of sinners. Those who are so unfortunate as to have allowed themselves to be in such a state, are the occasion for Christ being set for the fall of many.
What a sad state of affairs to be considering during this joyful season of Christmas, but this is the Gospel that The Church sets before us to warn us and to awaken in us the sincere desire for penance and amendment of life, so that Christ can be set for our resurrection.

We are under attack in Lubbock, Texas - pray for Fr. Joseph and the parish there.

http://www.catholiclubbock.org/SPC.pdf
page 3 of the above link.

Note that this "bishop" give a heretical definition of the Mass in the first paragraph of his attack against us!

If any reader of this blog attends Mass in Lubbock - ask if it is somehow possible to link to the radio show on this blog so we call all listen to it.
Many Protestants are familiar with the writings of the famous early Christian bishop and martyr, St. Ignatius of Antioch (approx. 35-110 A.D.). Along with some others, the epistles of St. Ignatius are a staple in every collection of the very earliest extra-biblical authentic Christian writings. These fathers of the Church (and their writings) were so early in the Church that they are called “the apostolic fathers,” because they were early enough to have had contact with the apostles. (These writings come from the end of the first century to the first half of the second century). St. Ignatius was the third bishop of Antioch and was taught by the apostle St. John. Here’s what St. Ignatius says about a group of heretics and the Eucharist:

St. Ignatius of Antioch, Epistle to the Smyrnaeans [ca. A.D. 110.], Chapter 7: “They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again. Those, therefore, who speak against this gift of God, incur death in the midst of their disputes. But it were better for them to treat it with respect, that they also might rise again. It is fitting, therefore, that you should keep aloof from such persons, and not to speak of them either in private or in public, but to give heed to the prophets, and above all, to the Gospel, in which the passion [of Christ] has been revealed to us, and the resurrection has been fully proved. But avoid all divisions, as the beginning of evils.”

Is it not mind-boggling that Protestants and Protestant scholars, many of whom regard St. Ignatius as a great early Christian and are well aware of his writings, can read something like this (in conjunction with the overwhelming evidence in Scripture: John 6, the other fathers of the Church, etc.) and still fail to see that the Catholic teaching on the Eucharist is the true Christian teaching? Bad will is truly a horrible thing.
Holy See Welcomes Blair's Decision to Convert

VATICAN CITY, DEC. 23, 2007 (Zenit.org).- Tony Blair's decision to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church has been welcomed "with respect" by the Holy See, according to a Vatican spokesman...

Here is the probable reason why Benazir Bhutto was assassinated!

(and it was not by the mythical Al Qaeda)

In the below interview with former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto about her controversial return to Pakistan she states that Bin Laden was murdered and even names the murderer! This occurs at about 6 minutes and 12 seconds into the video below:

Feast of the Holy Innocents

Herod “the Great,” king of Judea, was unpopular with his people because of his connections with the Romans and his religious indifference. Hence he was insecure and fearful of any threat to his throne. He was a master politician and a tyrant capable of extreme brutality. He killed his wife, his brother and his sister’s two husbands, to name only a few.
Matthew 2:1-18 tells this story: Herod was “greatly troubled” when astrologers from the east came asking the whereabouts of “the newborn king of the Jews,” whose star they had seen. They were told that the Jewish Scriptures named Bethlehem as the place where the Messiah would be born. Herod cunningly told them to report back to him so that he could also “do him homage.” They found Jesus, offered him their gifts and, warned by an angel, avoided Herod on their way home. Jesus escaped to Egypt.
Herod became furious and “ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity two years old and under.” The horror of the massacre and the devastation of the mothers and fathers led Matthew to quote Jeremiah: “A voice was heard in Ramah,/sobbing and loud lamentation;/Rachel weeping for her children...” (Matthew 2:18). Rachel was the wife of Jacob/Israel. She is pictured as weeping at the place where the Israelites were herded together by the conquering Assyrians for their march into captivity

Hufschmid dug up some amazing news items on the Holocaust®

Exhibit A:

http://www.clevelandjewishnews.com/articles/2007/12/21/news/local/acover1221.txt

http://www.allnationsstampandcoin.com/newsletters/news74.html

http://www.hmh.org/ex_show2.asp?id=3

The above articles deal with money used by Jews in the Nazi death camps. The Jews, of course claim that this was some sort of torture - but ask yourself - Why would the Nazis go through the trouble of printing currency and giving it out to people that they are going to exterminate anyway? Does this make sense to you?

Exhibit B:

http://www.ama-assn.org/amednews/2004/07/05/prsb0705.htm

http://stjoenj.net/lazowski/lazowski.html

These two articles deal with a doctor who created a false typhus epidemic by injecting Jews with a dead form of typhus that would give a false reading that they were infected. According to the article the Nazis would not take anyone infected with typhus to the death camps - so they just quarantined the town. Think about this - ask yourself - why didn't they just line up these people and shoot them then - if their plan was to mass execute Jews - and why would you fear a typhus outbreak among people you plan on killing anyway? - The excuse the Jews give is that the Nazis feared it would spread among the soldiers - but look at this article from wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typhus - which states:

Typhus epidemics killed inmates in the Nazi Germany concentration camps; infamous pictures of typhus victims' mass graves can be seen in footage shot at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.[6] Thousands of prisoners held in appalling conditions in Nazi concentration camps such Theresienstadt and Bergen-Belsen also died of typhus during World War II[6], including Anne Frank and her sister Margot.

There were already massive outbreaks of typhus in the Concentration Camps - and by the end of the war they were so bad that the Nazis began cremating the victims to try and control the spread. The "gas chambers" were in reality delousing chambers - typhus is spread by lice - the piles of clothes and hair - were attempts to contain the spread - that is why they shaved the new inmates and took their clothes and belongings. The reason that there were many deaths in these camps was not a mass extermination program - but typhus epidemics!

Pope to usher in Christmas with midnight mass; Vatican unveils Nativity scene

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/071224/world/vatican_christmas_1

VATICAN CITY - The Vatican on Monday unveiled its life-size Nativity scene in St. Peter's Square, hours before Pope Benedict ushered in Christmas with a midnight mass in the basilica.

As a Vatican band played "Silent Night," officials unveiled the statues of Mary and Joseph, Jesus' parents, in a huge house-like structure located next to the Vatican's giant, twinkling Christmas tree.

This year, the scene of Jesus' birth was depicted in a recreation of Joseph's Nazareth home rather than the traditional manger in Bethlehem. Officials at the unveiling said the shift underscored the idea that Jesus was born not just in a single place, but everywhere and for everyone.

Later Monday, Benedict briefly appeared at his studio window to light a candle as a symbol of peace. Later still, he was to celebrate midnight mass in St. Peter's Basilica.

At noon Tuesday, Benedict will deliver his traditional Christmas Day "Urbi et Orbi" speech - Latin for "to the city and to the world" - from the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica, in which he often touches on current events and issues of concern to the Vatican.

Vatican Nativity Scene Puts Joseph in Relief

Art Expert Says It Highlights Father's Role in Christ's Birth

http://www.zenit.org/article-21335?l=english

By Carrie Gress
VATICAN CITY, DEC. 19, 2007 (Zenit.org).- The unique Nativity scene in St. Peter's Square is a reminder from our teaching Pope of a father's importance in the family, says Christian art expert Elizabeth Lev.

This year's Nativity scene in the square, to be unveiled Christmas Eve, will have a new twist, the Vatican Secretariat of State reported last week. Rather than a manger or stable, the Nativity scene will feature the home of St. Joseph, reflecting the story of the birth of Christ depicted in St. Matthew's Gospel instead of the typical passage from St. Luke.

Lev, who is also a ZENIT columnist, said: "This Nativity is not so much a break with tradition but is presenting a new side of the Nativity, revealing a new facet.

"It is trying to represent Joseph's experience, his dream of what will happen knowing that Jesus will be born and Mary is with child. He had no idea the way it would all work out as he prepared to take on this task given to him by God through a message of an angel. So it is what he imagines in his home amid his work before it comes to pass."

"This fits Joseph and the acceptance of his call into the story," Lev continued. "Joseph is never the star of the Nativity, but his role is crucial. So this is not upsetting biblical tradition, but [giving] a different facet, looking at it in a different light."

The art historian explained: "In the Nativity accounts, a mother figure is always there, but this Nativity makes present the importance of the father figure and the fact that he is essential. It's a reminder that he wasn't born only to a mother, while providing a source of meditation during this time when we are faced with the battle against marriage and the family. It is a good way for the Church, in nonaggressive and nonpolitical way, to remind us of the basis of our understanding of family through the Holy Family.

"This is a Nativity very much of Joseph Ratzinger, a teaching Nativity. Instead of complacently laying out the characters, this year they are being laid out in a way so we have to think about what this momentous birthday means, think about the circumstance in which Jesus is born, while reminding us of Joseph's essential role."

Vatican Gives Nativity Scene a 'New Look'

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,317150,00.html

Monday, December 17, 2007

This year's Nativity scene will be unlike any other. Instead of the traditional depiction of a stable in Bethlehem, on-lookers might soon find the Baby Jesus born in Joseph's Nazareth workshop.

The State Department of the Vatican announced the transformation in setting and location, citing the need for "a change" and a desire to crack down on the various "fanciful Nativity scenes" as their reasoning, the London Daily Telegraph reported.
.
The original scene has its foundation in St. Luke's gospel with Christ being born in a manger — a box or trough in a barn where feed is placed for cattle and livestock. However, a spokesman for the State Department of the Vatican told the Telegraph two verses in St. Matthew's gospel, Chapter 1:24 and 1:25, inspired the change:

"When Joseph woke up, he did as the Angel of God ordered and took Mary into his house. Without them knowing each other, a child was born and he called his name Jesus."

Pope Benedict XVI will inaugurate the new version of Christ's birth on Christmas Eve. The hay and livestock may be gone, but three rooms will take their place. One adorned with carpentry tools to resemble Joseph's shop and the other two featuring the interior of a pub complete with a hearth and a patio where the family was presumed to have lived.

Vatican changes nativity scene

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/World/Vatican_changes_nativity_scene/articleshow/2626604.cms

LONDON: The traditional nativity scene built each Christmas in front of St Peter’s Basilica has shown Jesus being born in a stable in Bethlehem for 25 years. But, this year, the Vatican will do away with the manger.

The Vatican has decided to abandon the traditional stable and the straw-ladden setting, shifting it to Nazareth, and placing Jesus in his father Joseph’s carpentry shop in a bid to reflect the more straightforward scenario as described by St Matthew.

"It’s time for a change and a return to St Matthew’s gospel," Daily Telegraph quoted a spokesman of the State Department of the Vatican, which organises and builds the giant presepe, or the nativity scene, as saying.

"In fact, in place of the sheep and hay, there will be a model of three rooms. Jesus will lie in Joseph’s shop, complete with the typical work tools of a carpenter...On one side, the shop will be flanked with a covered patio, on the other there’ll be the inside of a pub, with its hearth." The new setting was inspired by two verses in St Matthew’s gospel, Chapter 1:24 and 1:25, the Vatican said, which state: "When Joseph woke up, he did as the Angel of God ordered and took Mary into his house. Without them knowing each other, a child was born and he called his name Jesus."

But, a decision has been made to place the nativity scene in Nazareth regardless, the spokesperson said. The traditional depiction of Jesus in a manger comes from St Luke’s gospel, which said there was no room at the inn”. But it is Matthew’s gospel which forms the basis for the Angelus prayer, and the view of Jesus in a carpenter’s workshop matches the Franciscan tradition. The nativity scene at St Peter’s for Christmas was started by Pope John Paul II in 1982.

Vatican nativity does away with the manger
By Malcolm Moore in Rome

For 25 years, the Christmas Nativity scene in front of St Peter's Basilica has shown the infant Jesus in a manger in Bethlehem.

This year, however, the Vatican has decided to radically change the scene, shifting it to Nazareth, and placing Jesus in his father's carpentry shop.

When Pope Benedict XVI inaugurates the life-size Nativity scene on Christmas eve, the sheep and hay will be gone.

In their place will be a model of three rooms.

Jesus will lie in Joseph's shop, complete with "the typical work tools of a carpenter". On one side, the shop will be flanked with a "covered patio", while on the other there will be the "inside of a pub, with its hearth". A TAVERN!

The news came in an official statement from the State Department of the Vatican, which organises and builds the giant presepe, or Nativity scene.

The new setting was inspired by two verses in St Matthew's gospel, Chapter 1:24 and 1:25, the Vatican said, which state: "When Joseph woke up, he did as the Angel of God ordered and took Mary into his house. Without them knowing each other, a child was born and he called his name Jesus".

The gospel goes on to mention Jesus' birthplace as Bethlehem, but a spokesman for the Vatican said a decision had been made to place the scene in Nazareth regardless.

"It was time for a change," said the spokesman "and a return to St Matthew's gospel".

The traditional depiction of Jesus in a manger comes from St Luke's gospel, which said there was "no room at the inn".

But it is Matthew's gospel which forms the basis for the Angelus prayer, and the view of Jesus in a carpenter's workshop matches the Franciscan tradition. WHAT?

They are implying that the Gospels contradict each other - when they do not at all.

There is no "need for change" the TRUTH never needs to be changed!

This is so blatent - so sick - so anti-christian - IT IS SATANISM!

totally meaningless - but amazing just the same...

F-15 grounding strains U.S. air defenses

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071226/ap_on_re_us/grounded_f15s

By SCOTT LINDLAW, Associated Press Writer Wed Dec 26, 4:00 PM ET

FRESNO, Calif. - The grounding of hundreds of F-15s because of dangerous structural defects is straining the nation's air defense network, forcing some states to rely on their neighbors' fighter jets for protection, and Alaska to depend on the Canadian military.

The F-15 is the sole fighter at many of the 16 or so "alert" sites around the country, where planes and pilots stand ready to take off at a moment's notice to intercept hijacked airliners, Cessnas that wander into protected airspace, and other threats...

..."When you're filling in, obviously it's going to cause some strain," said Mike Strickler, a spokesman with North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, which is operated by the U.S. and Canada. "You're spreading resources a little thinner than we would like."

But air defenses have not been compromised, Strickler said. "We can be anywhere at any time," he said...

really?? - Where were you on September 11, 2001?

On Christmas Eve, I received a package in the mail from a dear, dear friend from Alaska who happens to visit this blog. Inside was a wonderful book entitled "Miraculous Images of Our Lady". It was a perfect surprise - in fact it was one of the very few material gifts that I received this Christmas!

Christmas time always makes me nostalgic and therefore one of the first stories that I went to is the story of Our Lady of Pompeii in Italy. The reason that this story has such great meaning for me is because my father and his family attended Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Milwaukee when he was growing up. It was in the Italian "Third Ward" and was just a tiny, little PINK Church. Yes, that's right, the building was actually pink. I probably would not have even known this but I faintly remember my father being very upset in the 60's when it was torn down to make room for the freeway. Today there is a historical marker where the church stood .

The actual story of Our Lady of Pompeii, however is much more interesting than my own story. I actually found the same story and will link to it here. It should be very inspiring for all of us who are praying for family members to return to the faith. The story of this painting is also very inspiring! Hope that all of you enjoy this as much as I did - and THANK YOU TO MY GOOD FRIEND FOR THE WONDERFUL BOOK!:

Deaf demand right to designer deaf children

Sarah-Kate Templeton Health Editor

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/health/article3087367.ece

DEAF parents should be allowed to screen their embryos so they can pick a deaf child over one that has all its senses intact, according to the chief executive of the Royal National Institute for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People (RNID).

Jackie Ballard, a former Liberal Democrat MP, says that although the vast majority of deaf parents would want a child who has normal hearing, a small minority of couples would prefer to create a child who is effectively disabled, to fit in better with the family lifestyle.

Ballard’s stance is likely to be welcomed by other deaf organisations, including the British Deaf Association (BDA), which is campaigning to amend government legislation to allow the creation of babies with disabilities...

A few years ago I was listening to a radio program that was discussing a new procedure that could give hearing to nearly 70% of those now deaf. Do you know who was opposed to this procedure? - the organizations that represent the deaf - they claimed it was akin to genocide!

People today are so crazy it is hard to even imagine it. The representatives of the deaf are obviously deaf to God as can be seen by the above article!

Happy Holidays from Ratzinger - alias Benedict XVI

Lets pray during this Christmas Season- that Jesus may enter into the heart of at least one Novus Ordo heretic and snatch this person from the grips of satan!

Vatican Gives Nativity Scene a 'New Look'
Monday, December 17, 2007

This year's Nativity scene will be unlike any other. Instead of the traditional depiction of a stable in Bethlehem, on-lookers might soon find the Baby Jesus born in Joseph's Nazareth workshop.

The State Department of the Vatican announced the transformation in setting and location, citing the need for "a change" and a desire to crack down on the various "fanciful Nativity scenes" as their reasoning, the London Daily Telegraph reported.

Click here to read the full story in the Daily Telegraph.

These vatican II heretics are worse than the "reformers" !
The amazing gobbledygook of the Vatican II "church"!

Here is a link to the Vatican's web-site - and specifically to Ratzinger's Midnight Mass Christmas sermon:

http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/homilies/2007/documents/hf_ben-xvi_hom_20071224_christmas_en.html

Remember - this is the character that billions of people claim to believe is the Vicar of Christ - the man who God put on this earth to represent Christ Himself - and to teach and clarify the Faith!

I watched part of this midnight "mass" last night on the only TV channel we get - NBC - as we waited for the children to fall asleep. What a circus! When he was giving the above "homily" both myself and my wife were astonished that one man could spew so much verbiage without really saying anything.

When it was time for the "clergy" their to start handing out "communion" it was really crazy - people were reaching over the heads people who were kneeling and taking it in the hand - virtually everyone who received "communion" received it in the hand - including all the "nuns" - the only ones who did not receive it in the hand were those who were in Ratzingers line - what hypocrites! Think of it - somehow what they are supposed to believe is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ - is somehow more "holy" because it is being given to them by Ratzinger - so they won't touch it with their filthy hands then!

Thank God that He has not abandoned us to these wolves in sheep's skin.

Blessed Christmas to those who love the truth and are of good will.

Luke 2:14

"Glory to God in the highest: and on earth peace to men of good will."

And it came to pass that in those days there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be enrolled.
2:2
This enrolling was first made by Cyrinus, the governor of Syria.
2:3
And all went to be enrolled, every one into his own city.
2:4
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem: because he was of the house and family of David.
2:5
To be enrolled with Mary his espoused wife, who was with child.
2:6
And it came to pass that when they were there, her days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
2:7
And she brought forth her first born son and wrapped him up in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger: because there was no room for them in the inn.
2:8
And there were in the same country shepherds watching and keeping the night watches over their flock.
2:9
And behold an angel of the Lord stood by them and the brightness of God shone round about them: and they feared with a great fear.
2:10
And the angel said to them: Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy that shall be to all the people:
2:11
For, this day is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David.
2:12
And this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger.
2:13
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God and saying:
2:14
Glory to God in the highest: and on earth peace to men of good will.
Blessed Christmas to All!!!

CHRISTIANS BRUTALIZED

More telling though is the fact that physical attacks on Christians, their symbols and institutions continue in Israel unabated, and not by “Islamo-fascists” (so much discussed by the likes of Norman Podhoretz, Daniel Pipes, John Hagee, Bill O’Reilly, et al.) but rather by a more fanatical sect that has nursed a hatred for Christianity since its inception, the people who collectively call themselves “the Israelites” and whom Christians are told to “bless.”
More from the barbaric satanists that enjoy the support of "christian" fundamentalists and virtually all American politicians.

Israel upholds use of cluster bombs

By JOSEF FEDERMAN, Associated Press Writer Mon Dec 24, 11:59 AM ET

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071224/ap_on_re_mi_ea/israel_cluster_bombs

JERUSALEM - Israeli military prosecutors have decided not to take any legal action over Israel's use of cluster bombs during last year's war in Lebanon, the army said Monday, closing an investigation into a practice that has drawn heavy criticism from the U.N. and international human rights groups.

The investigation determined that Israel's use of the weapons, which open in flight and scatter dozens of bomblets, was a "concrete military necessity" and did not violate international humanitarian law.

The United Nations and human rights groups have accused Israel of dropping about 4 million cluster bomblets during its 34-day war against the Hezbollah guerrilla group.

They say as many as 1 million bomblets failed to explode and now endanger civilians. More than 30 people have been killed by cluster bomb and land mine explosions in Lebanon since the 2006 summer war...

...Amnesty International has harshly criticized Israel for bombing civilian areas and using cluster bombs during the fighting. It also has criticized Hezbollah for firing nearly 4,000 rockets at Israeli cities and towns.

The fighting left 159 Israelis dead, including 119 soldiers, while in Lebanon more than 1,000 people died, most of them civilians, according to counts by human rights groups, the Lebanese government and The Associated Press...

If you're caught speeding or playing your music too loud, or other crimes for which you might receive a citation, Green Bay police officers will ask for your drivers license and your finger. You'll be fingerprinted right there on the spot. The fingerprint appears right next to the amount of the fine...

As the credit paralysis stretches through its fifth month, a chorus of economists has begun to warn that the world's central banks are fighting the wrong war, and perhaps risk a policy error of epochal proportions.

"Liquidity doesn't do anything in this situation," says Anna Schwartz, the doyenne of US monetarism and life-time student (with Milton Friedman) of the Great Depression.

"It cannot deal with the underlying fear that lots of firms are going bankrupt. The banks and the hedge funds have not fully acknowledged who is in trouble. That is the critical issue," she adds.

Boy withdraws from religion classes, then complains when banned from religious party

This is about a European mother who withdrew her 9-year old son from religion classes at his primary school because she didn’t want him learning about Jesus. The young boy doesn’t believe in God. “Ms Riddell explained that her family has no religious beliefs and she decided to withdraw her children from religious and moral education classes when they began to study Bible stories earlier this year. She wrote to the school asking for the boys to be exempt from the lessons, but was contacted by Mr Davidson and warned that the children could miss out on fun activities.” So, she was warned that by withdrawing him from the classes the boy could miss out on certain activities, such as the Christmas party.

So when it came time for the Christmas celebration, “Douglas's mother, Dawn Riddell, was informed that he was unwelcome at the celebration because she had withdrawn him from religious education classes at Cluny Primary School, in Buckie, Banffshire, earlier in the school term. Ms Riddell, 38, said the headteacher, Ian Davidson, had told her that as the youngster had no interest in religion, he could not celebrate the birth of Christ.” But the unbelieving and astoundingly hypocritical mother complained, of course. She said yesterday: "It doesn't make any sense to me. I've helped out at the Christmas party before and it's got absolutely nothing to do with Jesus. It's all about the kids getting excited about Santa and enjoying themselves. "Douglas was heartbroken that he couldn't go. It was cruel. There was no reason for him to be excluded."

We post this not because we endorse the Christmas party at this school (and certainly not the infiltration of “Santa Claus” into such a party), but because it serves as an interesting illustration of the profound hypocrisy of these people: she and her son wanted no part with Jesus and the religious instructions, but were heartbroken when he was excluded from the celebration. The article even mentions: "He was really upset when I told him he couldn't go back to school. He just lay on the rug and cried. It was such a shame, but there was nothing I could do."

Is this not a symbolic microcosm or what? It’s a microcosm of what’s going to happen to these people, should they continue on their paths, on the last day; but on that day the disappointment about being excluded from Heaven for all of eternity will strike them as infinitely more cruel, profound and heartbreaking:

Matthew 22:11-13 “And the king went in to see the guests: and he saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment. And he saith to him: Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? But he was silent. Then the king said to the waiters: Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

St. Augustine of Hippo (354-430AD) on the permanence of the Catholic Church

Pope Leo XIII (+1896):

“It happens that, as in the human body, some member may be cut off – a hand, a finger, a foot. Does the soul follow the amputated member? As long as it was in the body, it lived; separated, it forfeits life. So the Christian is a Catholic as long as he lives in the body: cut off from it he becomes a heretic – the life of the Spirit follows not the amputated member.” (Satis Cognitum #5)

THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
Her Doctrine and Morals
Fourth Sunday of Advent
23 December 2007

Epistle: 1 Corinthians 4:1-5:
Let a man so account of us as of the ministers of Christ and the dispensers of the mysteries of God. 4:2 Here now it is required among the dispensers that a man be found faithful. 4:3 But to me it is a very small thing to be judged by you or by man's day. But neither do I judge my own self. 4:4 For I am not conscious to myself of anything. Yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. 4:5 Therefore, judge not before the time: until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every man have praise from God.

Gospel: Luke3:1-6
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and Philip his brother tetrarch of Iturea and the country of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilina: 3:2 Under the high priests Anna and Caiphas: the word of the Lord was made unto John, the son of Zachary, in the desert. 3:3 And he came into all the country about the Jordan, preaching the baptism of penance for the remission of sins. 3:4 As it was written in the book of the sayings of Isaias the prophet: A voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. 3:5 Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be brought low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways plain. 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

The Sunday
Sermon

Dear Friends,
Advent is a time of penance. We see St. John in today's Gospel preaching penance both in word and by example. We have preachers of penance today but we have very few who are doing penance.
There are many who believe that they have no need for doing penance. They attempt to balance the good with the bad in their lives; and from their superficial measurement it appears to them that they are more good than bad, and therefore there is no need for doing penance. After all they have not murdered anyone, robbed anyone, or committed adultery, and besides they do many good things too. This type of thinking leaves these poor souls under the illusion that all is well.

We must remember that nothing stained can enter into the kingdom of Heaven. If at death we were to find one who has performed a million good deeds and have committed but one mortal sin he would be condemned to an eternity of suffering in Hell. The one mortal sin far outweighs the many good deeds the man had done. And likewise one venial sin is enough to bar one from immediate entrance into Heaven. Such a soul would have to go through the purifying suffering of Purgatory until all the stain of sin is purged.

With this thought in mind we will soon find that our conscience is a constant preacher of penance to us. Our conscience speaks to us of everything that we do, if we will only attune our ears so that we can hear it. And what will our conscience say of all our deeds. Will we hear words of praise for deeds well done, or will we hear words of condemnation for evil deeds. Even when we listen to the voice of our conscience concerning the good deeds that we perform, what will it reveal to us as we look beyond the surface? Were our good deeds performed out of love for God? Were they done to receive the praise of men? Did we have a good and proper intention? Did we take a vain and foolish pride in our deeds and thus ruin any merit we may have earned? The more attuned to the voice of our conscience we become, the more revealing become our examinations. We will soon begin to see faults and failings and sometimes even sins where we once only saw good with very superficial eyes. Our conscience will now urge us on to do penance. It will not reveal too much to us at once lest we fall into despair but will certainly show us enough to spur us on to penance if we will only listen.

Next we have a preacher of penance in the Word of God and in His ministers. The scriptures are full of admonitions to do penance and of beautiful examples of penance. And the priests who preach to us give us many encouragements to do penance. They point out to us the necessity and the ways to do penance. The priest in the confessional is ready to admonish and direct us in the proper attitude and manner for doing penance.

We have the lives of the saints and many spiritual writings that all direct us to do penance.
We have the seasons of the Church year that specifically direct us to do penance. We have Advent, Lent, Ember Days, Fridays, etc. all of which our holy Mother the Church directs us to do penance.

God sends us various events in our lives to encourage us to do penance. Sinners are often exposed to sickness, trials and tribulations to wake them up from the spiritual lethargy that they have fallen into. Many an accident (fire, hail-storm, drought, flood, bad crop, car wrecks, etc.) is God's way of preaching to us of the necessity to do penance. God also sends public calamities (war, storms, plagues etc.) to wake the people up and spur them on to do penance to appease the justice of God.

We see that there are many preaching to us of penance but, we also see that there are very few who are actually doing penance. Many imagine that they still have time enough to do penance later. The young imagine that they will do penance in their old age. But, how many die in the prime of their lives, or even before? And sadly enough those who have contracted an evil habitual way of life will most likely never be able to do true penance. Those who play with fire will most likely get burned. As a man lives most likely that is how he will die. Those who live in sin and put off doing penance will most likely die in sin — without ever having done any penance. The old imagine that they still have time even though they already have one foot in the grave. Or they wait until such a time as now their bodies are no longer capable of doing the penance that they would wish to do.

Follow the admonition of the Psalmist: Today if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts. (Ps. 94;8) Whenever the voice may come which says, "Do penance," listen to it; it is the voice of God, who wills your salvation. Heed it, obey it, for he who now comes as a Redeemer will one day appear as a Judge. All who at the coming of our Lord are not purified by true repentance and reconciled with God must hear those terrible words: "I know you not." (Matt. 25; 12)
Therefore do penance speedily, and save your immortal souls.

I am sure you do not want to experience any refusal on God's part toward you. Then do not offer Him anything -- neither good works nor prayers -- without entrusting them into the hands of Mary.

THERE IS SO MUCH FALSEHOOD IN THIS ARTICLE THAT I JUST DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN! FIRST, READ IT AND THEN PLEASE COMMENT AND SET THIS RECORD STRAIGHT! THIS IS WHAT THESE FUNDAMENTAL HERETICS REALLY BELIEVE! :

Letter To Diognetus (+ c. 150):

“When you know what is the true life, that of heaven; when you despise the merely apparent death, which is temporal; when you fear the death which is real, and which is reserved for those who will be condemned to the everlasting fire, the fire which will punish even to the end those who are delivered to it – then you will condemn the deceit and error of the world.” (F.O.F., Vol. 1, p. 42.)

Name me one evangelical fundamentalist who actually fears hell - they don't and won;t because they are deceived into thinking that they are "saved" and cannot be damned. Their lying pastors make a living - usually a darn good one (in a wordly way) with this deception. People flock to them so they can be "assured" of their salvation. Those who have no fear of hell, for whatever reason - are those who are deceived by the error of the world. The first Christians knew this and so do true Christians today.
Wisconsin State Assembly Bill 631

http://www.legis.state.wi.us/2007/data/AB-631.pdf

This bill will force all health insurance plans in Wisconsin to cover surrogate mothers. In order for one to become a surrogate mother - the father has commit the mortal sin of self abuse and several children (fertilized eggs) are usually murdered in the process - but hey - lets force insurance companies to pay for all this! Not to mention that one of the primary reason that so many couples today cannot have children is because they have been using artificial means of birth prevention for so long so that they can fornicate, commit adultery, or abuse each other in the state of marriage.

"Archbishop" of Canterbury (head of Anglicans) calls the Nativity a "legend"

Remember, this Rowan Williams (the “Archbishop” of Canterbury) is the heretic upon whom Antipope John Paul II bestowed the pectoral cross – a sign of Episcopal authority.

Williams is not only non-Catholic and not a valid bishop (since the Anglican sect doesn’t have valid priests or bishops), but is a notorious heretic, schismatic and a modernist. John Paul II not only bestowed the pectoral cross on Williams, but also congratulated the heretic and schismatic on his ascension to his non-Catholic post and spoke as if he now possessed responsibilities as a bishop in the Catholic Church – thus mocking Catholic dogma and English martyrs.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has obtained for us a magnificent treasure of graces. But in the Divine Plan, not one particle comes to us without the mediation of Mary.

Parental Rights? What a world we live in

"PSYCHOLOGICAL CO-PARENTS"

WEST VIRGINIA—A West Virginia mother was shocked when a local circuit judge and a family court judge ordered her to share custody of her four-year-old daughter with two of the girl’s babysitters. Referring to the sitters as “psychological co-parents,” the justices first awarded full custody to them, only permitting the mother to visit her daughter four times a week at McDonalds. Eventually she was granted primary custody, but forced to continue to share her daughter with the sitters.

When her case finally reached the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals in October 2007, the beleaguered mother was relieved to finally be granted full custody of her daughter.

In their October 25 opinion, the Supreme Court justices wrote that they were "deeply troubled by the utter disregard" for the mother's rights. One justice referred to the mother's right as the "paramount right in the world."

Chief Justice Robin Davis summed up the case in one simple question: "Why does a natural parent have to prove fitness when she has never been found unfit?"

ONE MOTHER'S STRUGGLE TO GAIN TRUST

CONNECTICUT—As a proud new mother, Diana Owen's joy at her daughter's birth soon turned to deep concern for the baby's health. At only a few months old, tiny Bryanna-Rose seemed prone to violent vomiting episodes, at times struggling for breath while her lips turned a bluish color.

When she first began to observe her daughter's frequent incidents of projectile vomiting, the panicked mother rushed her baby girl to the hospital. For Diana, that day marked the beginning of many sleepless nights at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence while her baby daughter underwent numerous tests to determine her condition.

While doctors grappled for an explanation for Bryanna-Rose's sporadic yet violent symptoms, Diana waited—having no idea that something more sinister was afoot: a growing suspicion of Diana's reliability when it came to her claims about her daughter's health.

When hospital personnel informed the anxious mother that they were taking her daughter into "protective custody," she was shocked. But gradually the cold realization began to dawn on her: the medical personnel at the hospital were accusing her of Munchausen by Proxy, a mental disorder wherein a parent or primary caregiver actually induces or fabricates a child’s illness as a ploy for attention from doctors.

Turning a deaf ear to Diana’s cries, officials handed little Bryanna-Rose over to the Department of Social Services (DSS) and eventually a new foster mother. The new foster mother was floored, however, when Bryanna-Rose began violently vomiting. "It's not the mother!" she told DSS, "This baby does have projectile vomiting!"

Even with the foster mother's validation, Diana’s battle to gain trust continued to drag on. The day officials took her daughter, Diana could not have guessed that eleven months would go by before she was permitted to visit with her alone—and only after months of psychological evaluation and intrusive questioning by social workers.

Today, while Diana is delighted to have her daughter back, she feels bruised by the experience—particularly by the eleven months of separation from her daughter. "It is myself and my family that will face the consequences of this nightmare," she says.

A FATHER SPEAKS OUT... AND GETS ARRESTED

MASSACHUSETTS—When his 5-year-old son came home from a school with a "Diversity Book Bag" including a book to be shared with his parents, David Parker began reading. He was distressed to find that one of the books, titled "Who's in a Family" depicted two families led by homosexual partners.

Reluctant to expose his son to homosexuality at such an early age, David immediately contacted the school, intending to establish a dialogue as a concerned parent. His well-meant call, however, swiftly escalated into a dispute which pitted the father against the school.

After refusing to leave a scheduled meeting with school officials until the matter was resolved, David was charged with criminal trespassing and spent the night in jail—simply because he was concerned about the material being presented to his son.

A no-trespass order was issued, prohibiting Parker from setting foot on school grounds. While a local court has dropped the criminal trespassing charge against the father, he has procedurally been placed on "pre-trial probation" for one year.

SEIZED FOR A BLOOD TEST

NEBRASKA—When Mary and Josue Anaya received a letter asking if they would have their new baby Joel, undergo a blood test, they decided not to, citing religious convictions. The couple was shocked when weeks later Sheriff's deputies showed up on their doorstep to seize their six-week-old baby.

No one had informed the couple that if they refused to have the baby tested, he would be placed in foster care. The family’s attorney, Jeff Downing, says that "this is a classic case of the government overreaching and violating a family’s constitutional rights."

Joel is the first baby in Nebraska that has been seized for a mandatory blood test. In this particular case, Downing says, the state "acted first and asked questions later."

The six-week-old was kept in foster care and only reunited with his parents once the blood test was performed and the preliminary results came back.
